My name is Wong Chew Lin. Currently I am studying at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang. I am taking Fine Art course as my major and Graphic Communication as my minor. I am second year student.
Task received : Happiness project is supported by graphic comm. design department, school of arts 【usm & think city】 The challenge needs to be relevant to introducing happiness into the
city. You might consider a problem in one of the following categories:
• Culture (arts, festivals, public art, souvenirs, noongar ownership/heritage, how to impart information about events, celebrating artists);
• Activity (use of public space, turn the city into a game, historical and future activities, science and libraries, seasonal events);
• Services (ways to improve residents and tourists’ experiences in the city, visual identity of services such as transport, police, water).
What design can do?
What is georgetown?
How can you make the city happy?
Go beyond it！
Based on my personal observation, i would like to say that fews of the objective to run this Happiness Project:
ask ourself 1st: What we will gains? What is the outcomes? What designer can do?
No. 1_Projects that invlove recycling, upcycling or resusing materials.
No. 2_Projects that are quirky and fun.
No. 3_Projects that are useful.
No. 4_Projects that are easy to make.
No. 5_Projects that teach me new ideas and techniques.
In this cases, I gonna thinking about the THEME which suit for my blog. SO, the Happiness Project for my blog was Time to think : Lost and Found !!
